I began playing for JDF in Mini Tyke and finished my playing career for JDF in Intermediate A. I then continued to play on and off in Sr C until the age of 28. During that time, I also began refereeing for JDF which I continued to do for approximately 10 yrs up to the Jr A level. I have been coaching for JDF for the last 12 yrs from Mini Tyke to Midget A1; last season I coached Novice B. In 2012, I was the recipient of the Warrior Fair Play Coach at the BC Field Lacrosse Provincials.
I started on the JDF executive in 2011 as Equipment Manager, moving in 2012 to second Vice President. In 2013, I sat as first Vice President and in 2014 moved to the position of President. In 2014 and 2015,
I was chair of the Vancouver Island Minor Lacrosse Commission and a member of the BCLA Minor Directorate. I also served as 1 of 4 Provincial Supervisors for the 2014 Bantam Provincials.
In 2014, my family received the BCLA Ted Fridge Family Spirit Award.
VICE PRESIDENT #1
• SEAN KNOLES
I would like to take this opportunity to let the members of JDF Lacrosse know that I would like to seek re-election in the position of VP1 for the upcoming 2017 year. This upcoming season will be my 12 being associated with JDF. In that time, I have coached and helped coach at many levels. I have seen changes through the years some good some questionable. I feel that we are starting to make great moves forward with this association.
This year has been filled with many learning opportunities and we have really started to make some positive changes within the association. Last season we enjoyed three very successful tournaments and I had the pleasure of being part of the team that brought those tournaments to JDF and guest teams. The executive worked very hard to make some changes to the tryouts this year and I feel they were very fair last season and produced some exceptional teams.
I hope that you as members of the JDF Lacrosse Association will come to the AGM and place a Vote for me to remain as VP1
VICE PRESIDENT #2
• RYAN HYLAND

I retired from Langford Volunteer Fire Department with 20 years of service, I am also currently the Chief Training Officer with CFB Esquimalt Fire Rescue and have been a member of the department for 13 years. I served on the executive with Langford Volunteer firefighters association as Secretary for 1 year, Vice president for 2 years and as President for 5 years.
I believe that the Juan De Fuca Lacrosse executive is voted in for the members of the association and to represent all of the members in the day to day operations of the JDF Lacrosse association. I also believe in the development of the players in the areas of skill development, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the sport of Lacrosse.
